unwanted icons

I have two screens running off identical graphics cards.

Since installing MAG6, the icons are displaying on both screens although
I only want them on one.

This didn't happen under MAG5 and although I haven't tried Mint yet, i
read on the www that it has a facility for turning off icons o a
selected screen.

I cannot find any obvious answers to this one.

Think: the icons are put there by the DE, not by the monitor or the
video driver. Find whatever file customizes the individual output to
the other display. Your setting will be somewhere in that file or in a
file that it controls.

For the first time, as far as I know, last week-end this HP 6730b laptop
using MGA6 was connected to an overhead projector thingee, and the
Desktop displayed by the projector was different to that displayed on
the Laptop.

By Right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Configure Desktop",
various settings were selectable!

Might do what you want.
