I read a few days ago that Version 6 of the Linux kernel has been
released. Will it appear in our updates soon?

That depends on the Mageia packagers.
i am at 5.19.4 as of last night.

but they are still working on 6 as you can
read about it at:<https://www.debugpoint.com/linux-kernel-6-0-rc1/>

It has not been released yet.

https://www.kernel.org/ shows 5.19.4 was released yesterday.
For 6.0, it's still at the rc2 stage.

Most likely 6.0 will be released as a backport for Mageia 8 rather then as an
update as going from 5.15.? to 15.9.? or 6.0) drops support for some hardware.

I keep expecting Foolishness, my ancient (2002) Dell Inspiron 5100 to
fail to work with a kernel update, what with its 32-bit P4 and Radeon
RV200 graphics. But so far, so good. It still works with the Mageia
5.18.x kernel...

Make that still works with kernel 5.19.4. I just checked it with the
backported kernel.
